A delegation of nine Democratic Senators, led by Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and US Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides, visited and prayed at the Kotel.

The delegation was greeted by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch. The rabbi explained the history and holiness of the site and recited a kapital of Tehilim with the senators.

The delegation was greeted warmly by the many worshippers at the Kotel that blessed the relationship between the United States and Israel.
