Baltimore, MD – Feb. 16, 2023 – Maryland is set to experience rapidly changing weather conditions over the next two days, with a storm forecast to bring gale-force winds, rain, and a 30-degree temperature drop, according to the Pikesville Patch. Temperatures will peak on Thursday and then drop sharply on Friday. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay area. Showers may produce gale-force wind gusts, and a gale watch is in effect for Friday afternoon and evening. While much of the East Coast has had very little snow so far this winter, a colder and potentially stormier pattern with snow and ice is expected to set in across the northern third of the US later in February.
