An Israeli Arab terrorist rammed into pedestrians on Friday night, killing one and injuring seven others on the promenade near Charles Clore Park on the beach in Tel Aviv.

The murdered victim was identified as Alessandro Parini, a tourist from Rome, Italy.

The terrorist was identified as Yusuf Abu Jabar, a resident of Kfar Kasem northeast of Tel Aviv. He had a criminal record but no prior security record. The terrorist was neutralized by a police officer who was near the scene.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has announced a call-up of Border Police reserves battalions.

MDA senior EMT Yosef Curdi, the first to arrive at the scene, reported: “Upon arrival, I saw a vehicle turned over, next to it was a 17-year-old girl hit by the car, suffering from blunt injuries to her head abdomen, and limbs. After initial medical treatment, an MDA MICU conveyed her to the Ichilov medical center in moderate condition. About 200 meters north at the promenade, lay an unconscious man suffering from various injuries, he was without a pulse and not breathing, and after a medical check-up, we pronounced him dead. Additional MDA teams arrived at the scene and provided medical treatment to an additional four injured people also hit by the car, who were in moderate to mild condition”.
