Baltimore, MD – Oct. 19, 2023  – Baltimore City Councilman Isaac “Yitzy” Schleifer spoke on Tuesday about the war in Israel and its impacts on the Baltimore community.

Schleifer told WBAL’s T.J. Smith that he has not only seen the Jewish community, but others unite against terrorism during recent events in his district.

“The community has come together,” Schleifer said. “They’re more unified now than ever with the shared common goal of never allowing these terrorists to commit such atrocities that we saw last week.”

Schleifer also noted that police patrols need to continue to increase their presence around religious churches/places of worship and schools for safety.
