BCPS school Buildings will be closed Monday and Tuesday so that staff can prepare lessons in case their school transitions to virtual learning.

• Monday and Tuesday will now be treated as asynchronous planning days for teachers.
• Students will be given assignments to complete on their own on Monday and Tuesday. The assignments will cover multiple content areas, including science, social studies, math and language arts, and will be posted in Schoology.

This is for all schools that have not yet gone virtual. Schools that were already operating in a virtual environment will continue to hold virtual classes on Monday.

Earlier this week, BCPS announced more than two dozen schools, or portions thereof, would switch to virtual learning this week. County schools were closed for much of this week due to snow.
