The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Baltimore’s southern suburbs and a Winter Storm Watch for Baltimore and points north from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

But because of the warm weather in the past couple days, accumulation is expected to be in grassy areas.

A sharp drop in temperatures comes Sunday night leading to a chance of snow for the Monday morning rush hour.

It’s unclear how much snow will accumulate since the storm will be moving quickly and the ground is warm. So, the roads will likely stay wet, not white for most of the event. The heaviest snow will be south of Baltimore — which is the reverse of what we usually see.
