<p>State and federal officials announced Thursday new plans to combat crime in Baltimore, including an initiative that focuses on city crime that carries over into Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties.</p> <p>"We're launching another wave of aggressive crime-fighting actions," Gov. Larry Hogan said. "First, we're announcing a new Baltimore City Feeder Route Task Force initiative. … This initiative has already led to dozens of arrests and citations."</p> <p>Hogan said the task force will use real-time intelligence to enhance overnight patrol efforts to crack down on gang and criminal activity along the main arteries in and out of Baltimore City. The thoroughfares include Maryland Route 140, Maryland Route 26, Baltimore National Pike and Maryland Route 2 in Anne Arundel County.</p> <p>"If you intend to drive with guns or drugs on Maryland roads, you better think twice," said U.S. Attorney Erek Barron.</p>
