The family of Asher Natan Morali, who was murdered in the Jerusalem synagogue massacre, experienced a sudden electricity cut-off at their small 60-meter apartment where nine people live, reported Arutz-7. A journalist visiting the family during the shiva week started collecting donations and tweeted about their difficult financial situation. The electricity company later revealed that the family was poor and had a prepayment meter that they needed to recharge themselves, which had caused the electricity supply to be stopped due to the failure to recharge. The electricity supply was restored after a donation of NIS 600 was deposited on behalf of the family and the family’s past debt was transferred to the Electric Company’s aid fund.
