Baltimore, MD – Feb. 10, 2023 – FOX45: According to authorities, a Baltimore County Police officer is on life support after being shot during the pursuit of David Emory Linthicum. The officer was admitted to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and limbs, shortly after 10 p.m. on February 9th.

Dr. Thomas Scalea stated that the officer is expected to stay at the hospital for a prolonged period of time. Interim Baltimore County Police Chief Dennis Delp reported that the shooting occurred during a brief encounter in which Linthicum stole a vehicle. The officer was reportedly wearing a bulletproof vest at the time of the shooting.
