Baltimore, MD – Feb. 12, 2023 – Twenty-three schools in Baltimore City have had zero students test proficient in math, according to a report by FOX45‘s Project Baltimore. The list includes ten high schools, eight elementary schools, three middle/high schools, and two elementary/middle schools. None of the 2,200 students who took the math test at these schools were able to complete it at the grade level. Another 20 schools had one or two students testing proficient in math. The report has prompted outrage among Baltimore residents, with many demanding change in school leadership. Mayor Brandon Scott has yet to respond to the report.
