U.S. Air Force General Glen VanHerck, who oversees North American airspace, has not ruled out the possibility of aliens being behind the unidentified objects that have been shot down over North American airspace in recent days, according to the Daily Wire. The U.S. military has shot down three such objects over Lake Huron, Canada, and Alaska. When asked about the origin of the objects, VanHerck stated that the intelligence and counterintelligence communities would figure it out and he has not ruled out anything. A U.S. defense official later stated that there was no indication of aliens or extraterrestrial activity with the recent take downs. VanHerck said that the objects were not balloons and the U.S. officials considered using machine guns to shoot them down for better preservation, but the pilots felt it was not achievable due to the size and difficulty in acquiring them visually. The U.S. worked closely with the FAA to clear the airspace and used a Sidewinder missile to take down the object over Lake Huron.
