According to JPost, an Israeli security team sent to Turkey to assist with earthquake search and rescue operations was forced to surrender its weapons, according to an IDF confirmation. The Israeli team reportedly explained the difference in risk to Israelis and requested to provide its own security, but was told that other teams did not have weapons and neither could Israel. The team was given Turkish security instead, but it has been reported that an alert of a security threat to the Israeli team forced the end of their activities in Turkey.
