Severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, and record low and high temperatures are also expected. The storm has already begun to affect the Pacific Northwest, where storm total snowfall is likely to be measured in feet. The storm will move to California and the Great Basin, bringing rain, snow, and gusty winds, which could lead to power outages. The Midwest is expected to face the biggest effects, with up to two feet of snow and 50 mph wind gusts. Blizzard warnings are in place for southern Wyoming, and travel is expected to be nearly impossible during this time.
