Baltimore, MD – Mar. 6, 2023 – In recent weeks much attention has been directed at Governor Wes Moore’s proposed cuts to the BOOST scholarship program, a program offering scholarships for low-income families to choose a nonpublic school for their child. Many in the local media are viewing this position of the Moore Administration as largely inconsistent with the “Leave no one behind” pledge he made to Marylanders on the campaign trail and at his inauguration. On Monday morning, Rabbi Ariel Sadwin was a guest on the C4 Show on WBAL Radio to talk about the huge impact BOOST has made on Maryland families who choose nonpublic schools for their children’s education and why the proposed cuts do not represent the consensus of Maryland politicians or its citizens.
