The esteemed educator, Rebbetzin Bruria David, who established and led the respected Beth Jacob Jerusalem (BJJ) girls’ seminary, was nifteres at the age of 95, reports Matzav. Born in 1938, she was the only child of Rabbi Yitzchak Hutner and was married to Rabbi Yonasan David.

Recognized for her profound comprehension of human nature and her expansive expertise in Torah and history, Rebbetzin David set up BJJ in the early 1970s. The institution, based in Israel, was designed for post-high school students from American and European Bais Yaakov schools seeking advanced academic Torah study.

Additionally, the seminary offers professional training for a teaching career. Rebbetzin David’s legacy lives on through her husband, shlita, and the numerous students she mentored and influenced throughout her life.
