Haircuts and Shaving – Erev Shabbos Rosh Chodesh
Rosh Chodesh Iyar is Friday, April 21 and Shabbos, April 22.
The Mishna Brura writes in Orach Chaim 493:5 that during Sefiras Ha'Omer, when Friday is Erev Shabbos Rosh Chodesh, one may get a haircut and shave in honor of Shabbos Rosh Chodesh.

This should preferably be done on Friday but may be done Thursday night if necessary lâkavid shabbos.
