Balimore, MD – June 12, 2023  -The effort to cut down on accidents on the Jones Falls Expressway may be working better than city leaders anticipated.

There's more of the the former than the latter, nearly a year after speed cameras were set up on the Jones Falls Expressway, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The winding roadway has brought about less than half of the expected citations, as of May 30. So, the message may have gotten to drivers but the money has not gotten to the city.

The Baltimore Sun said the fines amount to about what it cost to operate the system.
