Muhammad Ishtaya, the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, holds the Israeli authorities fully responsible for the increase in the number of murders in Arab society, which during the past week surpassed 100 victims.

At the meeting of the Palestinian government in Ramallah, Ishtaya said that the Israeli authorities are not working to stop the phenomenon of violence, are not prosecuting the perpetrators of acts of violence, and this policy is “racist”.

According to Ishtaya, Israel, which is a “colonialist settler state” is working to break the spirit of solidarity in the Palestinian society “inside” (Israel) and to create internal conflicts between the Arabs of Israel.

Last night the Hamas movement also placed the responsibility for the murders in Arab society on the Israeli authorities on the grounds that they ignore and show complacency towards this phenomenon, and do not work to stop it.

Hamas also claimed that the Israeli authorities are not working to stop the distribution of weapons among the organized crime gangs, and that the Israeli security forces are involved in the content to weaken the social fabric of the Israeli Arabs, and cause chaos among them.

The reason for this policy, according to Hamas, is the activity of the Israeli Arabs to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy places, and therefore Israel wishes to damage their unity by spreading crime and chaos.
