Baltimore, MD – June 15, 2023  – The Baltimore City sheriff's office is taking action to improve traffic safety in our communities. Starting yesterday deputies are conducting traffic enforcement until Friday and direct response to multiple car wrecks caused by reckless driving. Within the first hour of deploying deputies issued 17 tickets for excessive speeding enforcing traffic laws is more than just issuing tickets it's about saving lives.

Reckless drivers and speeders must recognize the danger they post our community as we enter the summer season let's prioritize safety.

Follow speed limits and drive with care. Last year 563 lives were lost on Maryland roads. Together we can create safer roads and avoid tragic consequences.
