Baltimore, MD – Aug. 8, 2023  –   Monday’s storms caused significant damage in Westminster, closing both north and south lanes of MD 140 between Market Street and Gorsuch Road, according to WMAR2News. Over 30 power poles were knocked down by straight-line winds, trapping 34 vehicles, although no injuries were reported. The damage has affected more than 10,200 customers in the area, and it’s unclear when the lanes will reopen.
