Baltimore, MD – Sept. 1, 2023  – A fuel spill caused significant traffic disruptions on the Beltway’s Outer Loop in Catonsville, closing three of four lanes during the early morning hours, reports WBALTV. The spill occurred after debris ruptured a truck’s saddle tank near Frederick Road. The lane closures lasted from around 6 a.m. to after 7 a.m., affecting traffic as far back as Interstate 70. Baltimore County fire officials and the Maryland Department of the Environment were on the scene to manage the situation.
