U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, along with his wife, arrived at a federal courthouse in New York Wednesday morning.

Menendez, and his wife who is also charged in the case, arrived for their arraignment hearing.

Calls for Menendez to resign from office were heard as the couple walked into the courthouse.

He had nothing to say outside the courthouse.

The couple is expected to answer to the corruption charges filed against them.

The New Jersey senator is accused of taking bribes to benefit three businessmen and the Egyptian government.

Menendez has denied the charges and said he’s not stepping down.

Menendez said he’s confident he will be exonerated during a news conference he hosted Monday.

It’s the second corruption case in a decade against Menendez, whose last trial involving different allegations ended with jurors failing to reach a verdict in 2017.
