Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar admitted that his organization failed to stop the Hamas massacre of over 1,300 Israelis on Simchat Torah.

“We failed to generate sufficient warning, the responsibility is on me,” Bar said. “Despite a series of operations, we were unable to foil the attack. There will be time for investigations – now we are fighting.”
