Baltimore, MD – September 1, 2026 – (BJL) STAR-K has issued the following Yoshon update for consumers:

WHEAT

► Flour – Consumers should start checking dates. Lists will be updated in next few days. Any flour produced before 8/24 is Yoshon. 

 ► Fresh baked goods – Yoshon until Erev Rosh Hashana (September 11). 

 ► Pasta – Anything with a production code Sept. 9, 2026 or earlier is Yoshon.

 ► Italian Pasta (produced in Italy) – Yoshon at least until after Sukkos. 

 ► All Other Wheat Products (cookies, crackers, bread crumbs, etc.) – can be considered Yoshon until after Sukkos. Further updates/lists before then.

OATS

► Oat Flour – with a production code before 8/24/26 is Yoshon. 

 ► All Other Oat Products (including oatmeal, oat milk, etc.) – Yoshon at least until after Sukkos.  

BARLEY

► Can be assumed Yoshon at least until Rosh Hashana. Will update before then.
